ABOUT THIS MODEL:
Drivetrain & Off-Road Capability:
The defining feature of the Pajero Sport GLS is its advanced, dual-range 4WD system:
Super Select II 4WD: Unlike basic part-time 4WD systems, Mitsubishis system allows you to drive in 4H (all-wheel drive) on sealed bitumen roads for maximum grip in the wet, alongside traditional 2H, 4HLc (4WD High Lock), and 4LLc (4WD Low Range).
Rear Differential Lock: Standard equipment on the GLS, enhancing traction on highly uneven or muddy off-road tracks.
Off-Road Terrain Modes: Selectable presets that optimize the engine, transmission, and braking systems for Gravel, Mud/Snow, Sand, or Rock.
Hill Descent Control (HDC): Automatically modulates brakes to safely manage steep off-road drop-offs.
Engine & Towing Performance:
Engine Type: 2.4-litre 4-cylinder MIVEC turbo diesel (2.4DT).
Power & Torque: 133 kW of power @ 3500 rpm and 430 Nm of muscular torque @ 2500 rpm.
Transmission: Smooth-shifting 8-speed sports automatic transmission with steering-wheel paddle shifters.
Towing Capacity: Up to 3,100 kg braked towing capacity (with a maximum 300kg towball download).
Fuel Efficiency: An official combined fuel consumption rating of 8.0 L/100km.
GLS Trim Upgrades & Comfort:
Building on the entry-level GLX, the GLS adds premium family conveniences:
Seating & Interior: 7-seat configuration with 60/40 split second-row and flat-folding 50/50 third-row seats. Features premium water-repellent fabric trim.
Power Tailgate: Convenient hands-free or remote-button electronic tailgate operation.
Climate Control: Dual-zone automatic climate control up front with independent air-conditioning vents for both the 2nd and 3rd rows.
Exterior Styling: Distinctive 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, chrome exterior mirrors/handles, and silver roof rails.
